Learn to use the foam roller for relaxation, flexibility and improved myofascial* performance
You’ve seen the foam roller and maybe even own one but are not quite sure what you’re supposed to do with it.
This highly diverse tool is intended to help you release tight muscles as well as elongate and hydrate myofascial* tissues – all on your own!
But the magic is in knowing how to use it effectively.
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn to unlock the secrets of this mysterious piece of equipment that’s guaranteed to reduce the stress in your body and leave you moving more easily.
This workshop will appeal to those interested in
- reducing tension in the body
- enhancing range of motion
- reducing pain caused by myofascial tension
- improving athletic or daily-life performance
- moving more easily
- rolling around on the floor! 😉
You will learn to use the foam roller for gentle and effective self-massage of the:
- upper back & shoulders
- low back & pelvic region
- legs: quads, hamstrings and IT Band (front, back and side thighs)
As a bonus we will learn how the foam roller can be used for core strength conditioning.
These 2 hours will be packed with information and techniques you can use for a lifetime on your own. Our intimate group of 6 people or fewer will afford lots of hands-on instruction.
Workshop fee is $75 and each will take place in the downtown Silver Spring studio.
